Use case

Football

Fixtures, live scores, lineups and standings, running on Opta data from the first build.

During a match

Fans never see a blank match screen.

Scores update every 15 seconds. If the feed slows or drops out, the match screen keeps the last score it had and marks it as updating, so nobody hits an empty page in the 89th minute. If one part fails, like stats, the score and the rest of the page stay up.

Your team sees the same picture from a matchday view that shows which screens are affected. And when the feed gets something wrong, an editor corrects it in the CMS and the correction sticks.

Three Arena football app screens showing confirmed lineups, live match details with statistics and key events, and a personalised news feed

Football, handled

  • Match states through postponed, cancelled and abandoned
  • Goals, own goals, cards, substitutions, penalties scored and missed, VAR decisions
  • Standings with home, away, form and half-time splits
  • Squad availability for injuries, suspensions and doubtfuls
  • Opta mapped into Arena's own model, so your apps never call a provider directly

What you own

  • Your App Store and Play Console accounts
  • Fan profiles, follows and consent records, with export and deletion built in
  • Your Opta licence, held with Stats Perform
  • Audience segments your team builds in the CMS without writing queries
  • Day to day: one content editor, no engineers
